The Garden of Eve Organic Farm & Market hosted its ninth annual Long Island Garlic Festival on Saturday and Sunday on Sound Avenue in Riverhead.
Gray skies did not stop crowds from attending the event, which has become a favorite for the scores who flock to Riverhead for the two-day celebration. The event spotlights the wonders of “Garliciana,” with festival vendors featuring a wide variety of garlic inspired foods, crafts, music, theater, and garlic for eating and planting. This year, for the first time, the event featured a garlic eating contest and a Garlic Iron Chef competition.
