Free Mets Tickets For Donating Blood

Suffolk County Legislator Ed Romaine is hosting a blood drive at Tanger.

Anyone wanting to snag two free Mets tickets can do so -- just by donating blood.

Suffolk County Legislator Ed Romaine said residents can take their families to a Mets game -- and potentially save three lives -- just by donating blood.

The blood drive, sponsored by Romaine, will take place Friday from noon till 6 p.m. at in Riverhead, at the II food court.

Donor requirements involve bringing a valid form of identification. The drive is open to individuals 16-75; anyone over the age of 75 needs a doctor's note. All those participating must weigh a minimum of 110 lbs, eat well and drink fluids before donating, and not have gotten any new tatoos in the past 12 months.
