Nov. 30: Board of Education, Board of Elections, and a Call to Small Biz Owners

Take a look at what's going on today around Riverhead.

1. Suffolk County Community College Professor and Composer Alexander Nohai-Seaman will hold a tonight at the East End Arts Council. From 7:00 to 8:00, Nohai-Seaman will perform in the Carraige House at the EEAC. All are welcome.

2. Are you trying to familiarize your young ones with animals? Bring your 2 or 3-year old by Atlantis Marine World this morning, or afternoon, for the first class in an series. The 4-class program costs $40 for Atlantis Marine World members and $60 for non-members, and the cost includes admission for one adult and one child.

3. The Riverhead Central School District Board of Education meets tonight at 7:00. Check to see what happened at the last meeting.

4. U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop, D - Southampton, and Randy Altschuler, Republican challenger from St. James, head into their fourth week of vote-counting today. Seventy one military ballots will be counted today, with over 1,500 reportedly still challenged. Both sides will attempt to 'whittle' that number down, said Bishop's spokesman. Read the story .
