Even the ribbon at Friday's ribbon-cutting for the new Eastern Nails and Spa in Riverhead had a touch of diva -- rather than a traditional ribbon, a bright red feather boa was cut to celebrate the salon's grand opening.
Eastern Nails and Spa opened Friday at 435 Osborn Avenue in Riverhead and owner Rose Nyugen decorated and cooked for days to ensure the event was an "affair to remember."
Working with her longtime friend, local philanthropist and reality show star Dhonna Goodale, Nyugen planned a ribbon cutting grand opening celebration featuring traditional Vietnamese food, drinks, and free gifts.
Neighbors Neat and Complete Hair Cutters and Carlo's Pizzeria, offered discounts and gift baskets at the event to help welcome Nyugen to the block.
