Popular Jamesport Storefront Has a Few 'Maybes' [Empty in Jamesport]

The former home of Whoa! Nelly! and most recently an antique shop has a few interested parties, though no signed contracts. What would you like to see here?

While one building owner in Jamesport's hamlet center after finishing construction in late 2010, another just up the street is looking to refill its space after it was vacated on the first day of 2012.

Just east of Duffy's Deli, the former of home of Whoa! Nelly! - a vintage knick-knack shop - for a handful of years, and most recently an antique store for a brief period, is looking for its next tenant.

And according to the property's listing manager, there seems to be quite a bit of interest.

"We have about six 'maybes,'" said Steve Pisacano. "People checking in with their partners, who knows. I get about a phone call a day about it."

The retail space, located at 1572 Route 25, houses about 1,400 square feet, and Pisacano said he's looking for $1,400 in rent. The parcel is zoned 'village center,' which largely resembles the 'hamlet center' space available up the road at the corner of Manor Road and Route 25, the biggest difference likely being prohibition of office space in village center zoning.

With another weekend of Jazz on the Vine around the corner, Pisacano expects more eyes to see the space, and hopes to have it rented out soon - though he's not sure what people are waiting on.

"I don't know if people are waiting for spring to get here or what," he said.

What would you like to see fill this space in downtown Jamesport?
