Tanger Outlets Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The outlet center will be selling "Pink Style Saving Cards" to raise money for breast cancer research.

are joining the fight against breast cancer again this year by offering "Pink Style Saving Cards" to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Shoppers can purchase the cards, available at any outlet store and online until Oct. 20, for a $1 donation to the ACS. Customers will get 25 percent off purchases at participating stores in the outlet by using the card.

A portion of the proceeds from donations will go to local breast cancer organizations, according to a statement from Tanger Outlets.

"Our Pink Style Savings Card Campaign is providing tremendous added-value to our shoppers' visit this fall," said Steven B. Tanger, President and CEO of Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. "Tanger customers can feel good knowing that each and every Pink Card they purchase is going to make a big difference to help in the fight against breast cancer in their community." 

This is the 16th year for Tanger's Pink Card program. Last year, Tanger Outlets raised over $1 million for breast cancer organizations across the country, according to the statement.

Tanger in Riverhead held its  annual North Fork Breast Cancer Coalition 5k Walk this year on Sept. 25, raising more than $20,000, according to a September story in the Riverhead News Review.
