If you're heading out to find the perfect Christmas tree, here's a list of some of the best places to pick your holiday favorite.
This family owned and operated farm in Baiting Hollow has been in business for four generations with over 100 acres of trees. They offer pre-cut and cut your own trees. Saws and tractor rides are available. Open 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. until the weekend before Christmas. 631-929 - 4327.

The Mattuck farm is in its 17th season, offering pre-cut trees, balled and bur lapped trees and cut your own. Douglas Fir, White Pine and Norway Spruce are available for purchase. Wreaths, arches, centerpieces and other gifts and holiday decorations are available for purchase. On the weekends, families can participate in a train ride, cand enjoy hot chocolate and popcorn and a visit from Santa. An antique sleigh museum is attached to the gift shop. New this year is wine tasting with Pellegrini Vineyard on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day until Christmas Eve. 631-298-4619.

This Cutchogue tree farm has approximately 30 acres of land, with 65,000 trees growing in different stages. You can choose from Douglas Fir and Concolour Fir trees. The gift shop features handmade wreaths, snow globes, ornaments and other cheerful items. They are open daily until Christmas Eve from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. 631-734-8641.
A wreath shop, tractor rides, a live band, hot chocolate and Santa make this Southold tree farm a favorite yearly. Douglas Fir and Fraser Fir trees are featured on this farm. "Elves" will help you cut down your tree and secure it onto your car. The farm is open from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. every day through Christmas Eve, although it is suggested that customers come before 4:30, when it becomes dark. 631-765-4148.
Windy Acre Farm
Open seven days a week, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m., this Calverton farm offers fresh cut Christmas trees. Windy Acres is on Middle County Road in Calverton. 631-727-4554.
This Cutchogue Christmas tree farm offers wreaths, centerpieces, ropping, grave blankets and Christmas trees. Warm up by the fireplace and enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate. 631-734-5036.
Olsen's Tree Farm
Located on Townsend Road in Flanders, there are live trees, balled and cut, in all sizes.
Grandpa Tony's Tree Farm
Here you can find your favorite Blue Spruce or Norway Spruce. Grandpa Tony's is located at 305 Weeks Avenue in Manorville, and open Thurs.- Sun., 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. 516-639-3587.
This Manorville farm is open every day through Christmas Eve from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.. There are over 10,000 trees to choose from, ranging in size from 2 ft to 12 ft. Colorado Blue Spruce are $16 per foot. All other varities are $11 per foot. Cash only. 631-874-6260.
