Spring Gears Up With Fun Events at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk

Spring at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk is always a busy, fun time of the year. We just hosted our very popular Gardening School, with CCE educators and Master Gardeners teaching about 450 attendees!
This week is especially busy! We are getting ready for three big events this Saturday, May 7 at Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank. First, it’s our annual Baby Animal Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come see all our newest arrivals!
Also, this Saturday is the Open House for our summer day camp at the Farm—campers can sign up for a week or six weeks. This popular summer day camp includes lots of fun activities for campers kindergarten through eighth grade including a butterfly house, wagon rides, ice-cream making and more. It's a really fun camp. (anyone who registers at the Open House gets a discount)

And, the other big event this Saturday at the Farm is our Operation Military Kids program! Suffolk 4-H and volunteers will be making backpacks—and filling them with goodies—to give to children of deployed military. All are welcome to attend these three events!
After that, we will be getting ready for all our summer camps—Southold, East Hampton, Yaphank, Babylon and Northport will be gearing up in just a few weeks. We have day camps and stay-over camps for kids of all ages. Find out more at http://www.ccesuffolk.org
