2. For couples out there getting ready to tie the knot - or for that matter, anyone looking to throw a big bash - Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center is holding a on Wednesday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Drop in and check out DJs, catering options, photographers and more.

3. Also Wednesday night is a book signing and reading by Riverhead High School graduate Jason Hefter, who will be . The event will take place at The Riverhead Project from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. to read an article about Hefter and to learn more about his book.

4. The Riverhead Executive PTO organized Thursday's "Crazy Sports Night," a fundraiser which to help pay medical bills for and , two students in the school district who are both traveling a road to recovery after suffering medical setbacks of their own.

5. Timothy Hill Children's Ranch will be holding its annual Thursday night at the Long Island Aquarium's Sea Star Ballroom. The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, a live auction, a country band and line dancing.
