5 Things to Do This Week

Take a look at what's going on around town this week.

1. Monday night, the is meeting at 7 p.m. at the Pulaski Street School. The meeting is open to all parents of Pulaski Street School students. And for parents of students with disabilities, the Riverhead will meet on Wednesday night at Riley Avenue School at 7 p.m.

2. At the Riverhead Free Library, Pamela Burns is leading a presentation on . Topics will include how to avoid scams, how to weigh items, and more. If time permits, each participant will receive a free appraisal.

3. Do you zumba? For those interested in the high-energy exercise/dance class, Riverhead High School's class of 2013 offers the class every Tuesday at the middle school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a cost of $5. And Wednesday morning, at the Riverhead Free Library, a beginners' class, is offered from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. for no charge.

4. For those interested in getting out of the house Friday, the David Crohan Community Center is offering at 10 a.m., followed by  at 1 p.m. at the Riverhead Library.
