6 Things to Do This Weekend

What's going on around town this weekend? We've got you covered.

Because it's a long weekend in celebration of Martin Luther King Day, we added one more in this week. Take a look, and if you're looking for more, check out our events page.

1. There's still plenty of time before Sunday afternoon's football game, folks. Whichever winner guesses the score correctly wins a $50 gift card. If more than one guesses correctly - likely the case, with over 275 guesses - a raffle will be held to determine the winner.

2. Want two free Mets tickets? . Assemblyman Fred Thiele, I-Sag Harbor, is teaming up with Long Island Blood Services to hold a blood drive at the Flanders Fire Department Firehouse. If you're not a Mets fan and still want to give blood, the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps is hosting a of its own on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

3. Join at  on Route 58 Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The non-profit will be holding an adoption event to get some dogs into new loving homes. Click on the event to see which dogs!

4. If you're looking something to do on Saturday night, consider catching some live music. At , is playing - the show starts at 7 p.m. At ,  will be playing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

5. Happy Birthday! On Sunday,  is celebrating its . From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Main Street art gallery, artists and art enthusiasts will be celebrating with a brunch. A raffle and silent auction will also be held.

6. First Baptist Church will hold its 27th Annual Martin Luther King Breakfast at the Hyatt in Hauppauge, starting at 8 a.m. The breakfast is annually one of the largest gatherings remembering Dr. King on Long Island.
