After a respite in 2011, the Riverhead Blues Festival – earlier in the summer season this year, taking place this weekend, June 15 and 16.
The two-day, multi-stage concert will feature over 30 acts by the Peconic Riverfront, from previous performers such as Toby Walker and Who Are Those Guys to one of Rolling Stone's top 100 guitarists of all time,, playing Sunday night at the event.
Patch has a pair of tickets to give away to the festival, as well as a meet-and-greet with Johnny Winter and a copy of his latest CD, "Roots."
The contest: The tickets, CD and meet-and-greet will go to the person who leaves the best memory of past Riverhead Blues Festivals in our comment stream. This obviously has a sense of objectivity on our end – and limitation in that we're probably not going to verify these stories unless they really seem far fetched – so all we can do is ask that you're honest in your responses and hope everyone realizes this is in good fun.
We thought it would be nice to reminisce before the weekend starts, so crack into that memory bank and offer us your favorite memory of the Riverhead Blues Festival.
We'll announce the winner on Friday.
