Dinners Showcase L.I. Wine Country's Collaborative Nature

East End winemakers explain their spirit of cooperation to the Sag Harbor Express.

owner Richard Pisacano, 's winemaker Roman Roth, and Russell Hearn, a partner in in Mattituck, are a few Long Island Wine Country figures to talk to recently about the cooperative spirit of their local industry.

The interviews revolve around a three-part dinner series at Sag Harbor's . The purpose of the dinners, named “Partners in Living Local,” is to focus not on how wines pair with food but more on the creative benefits of collaborations amongst local winemakers, according to the event's founder, John Leo.

Two more dinners are planned in March and April.
