Don't Miss: Oceans of Hope Fundraiser

The event benefits the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.

Seals and sea turtles, dolphins and all manner of sea mammals will be center stage Saturday night at the 13th annual Oceans of Hope fundraiser.

The event, which will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center, will help to save dolphins, seals, and sea turtles and benefit the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.

Emcee Doug Geed will host a night of dancing, food, and casino fun. Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine will be presented with the “Environmental Leadership Award” and Brian McCaffrey of White Birch Consulting Group will be presented with the “Environmental Stewardship Award.”

Tickets cost $150 per person. Proceeds go to help save marine mammals and sea turtles.

Currently, the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation is rehabilitating one harbor porpoise, 19 sea turtles and seven seals.
