• Where/When: Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Riverhead High School cafeteria and gym.
• Why go: See what the kids throughout the school district are doing in art classes.

• Where/When:  Friday at 7 p.m. at McGann-Mercy High School.
• Why go: Listen to some great local musicians and support a worthy cause.
• Pricing: $8.

• Where/When: Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Meet at Reeves Beach
• Why go: Before it’s time to hit the waves, help make sure the beaches are clean.
• Pricing: Free.

• Where/When: Meet at the Riverhead Library on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
• Why go: Learn about historic spots in Jamesport, Aquebogue and Northville.
• Pricing: $20 for members/ $27 for nonmembers.

• Where/When:  Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Clovis Point Vineyard.
• Why go: Charles Fishman will be signing In the Language of Women. Enjoy a little wine with your poetry.
• Pricing: Free.

• Where/When:  Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Atlantis Marine World.
• Why go: This is just a great way to spend Mother’s Day with your entire family.

• Pricing: Free tasting for Mom.

• Where/When:  Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. at Comtesse Therese Bistro.
• Why go: This place is a bistro and tasting room in one. Enjoy good food and free homemade chocolate.
