Get Out: Hit up Halockville, and Catch a Play or a Band

If you like Chinese auctions, you're in luck because there is one on Friday and Saturday and both benefit worthy causes.

There’s plenty of things on the weekend planner that you can take the whole family to. Watch a play or take the kids to enjoy the great outdoors.

  • Where/When: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at McGann -Mercy High School
  • Why go: This play takes place in a much simpler time. Show your kids what life was like before cell phones.
  • Pricing: $8

  • Where/When:  Friday night from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at McGann-Mercy High School.
  • Why go: Before you check out the school’s musical, stop by for some spaghetti.
  • Pricing: $12 each/$6 for seniors

  • Where/When: Friday night at 6 p.m. at Polish Hall.
  • Why go: This dinner benefits Peconic Bay Medical Center’s Walk Team for the 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer.
  • Pricing: $30 in advance or $40 at the door.

  • Where/When:  Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Northville Grange.
  • Why go: Learn the benefits of canning and preserving your own food.
  • Pricing: Donations to help restore the Grange.

  • Where/When: Saturday at 9 a.m. at Hallockville.
  • Why go: Explore the different shrubs, plants, and trees on the grounds of Hallockville.
  • Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Riverhead High School
  • Why go: This event benefits the students who are in the successful NJROTC program.
  • Pricing: Free admission.

  • Where/When:  Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hallockville.
  • Why go: This is a family friendly program, which includes an egg hunt and lessons on how to raise chickens.
  • Pricing: $5 each or $15 for a family of four for members/ Non-members pay $6 each or $18 for a family of four.

  • Where/When:  Sunday at 2 p.m. at Martha Clara Vineyards.
  • Why go: Music plays year-round at our local vineyards. Stop by Martha Clara for a glass of wine to get your groove on.
