Saturday afternoon brought sunshine to Riverhead as residents began to dig out after Friday night's blizzard.
According to the National Weather Service's office at Upton, Riverhead Town saw significant accumulations of the white stuff when all was said and done.
Downtown Riverhead had accumulations of 19.4 recorded inches, with Jamesport reporting 14 inches -- and residents in Baiting Hollow hit with a whalloping 26 inches, according to David Stark, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
