1. The will host a lecture by a holistic health teacher on how to this evening at 6 p.m. Free samples and mini-facials will be provided. The event is free but requires registration with the library before attending. 

2. Want to recreate a rainforest? Head to the Long Island Science Center this week as it begins a new program for families and children as part of their . The program, called "Explore your Ecosystem," will teach children and parents about filtering water and the delicate balance of life. The program will run daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting today and will end on Sunday. Tickets cost $5.

3. Follow along with a "World of Songs," an held at the starting at 2 p.m. today. The event is free and no registration is required, but children under age 10 will require an adult to be present.

4. After kicking off last week, the 's free weekly drum session continues tonight from 6:30-7:30 p.m. No experience is necessary to learn the rhythms of the African drum circle beat.
