4. The Riverhead Democratic Committee elected its nominations for this fall's elections last night. Barring an upset in a primary, or anything unforeseen at the upcoming Riverhead nominating convention, former Supervisor Phil Cardinale will face off against Sean Walter —  again. Cardinale lost to the sitting supervisor in 2009 by 249 votes.
