May 20: Fit Kids, Fire Service, and Soccer Fun

Get your weekend off on the right foot by seeing what's going on Friday.

1. The Riverhead Free Library is hosting an event this evening for children from 6-7 called . The session will combine storytelling, yoga, music and literature to help kids come together in a positive social setting. The event is free.

2. The Jamesport Fire Department is holding its , starting at 6 p.m. The inspection will be followed by a service and refreshments at the Jamesport Meeting House.

3. The Save the Grange lecture series continues tonight at the Northville Grange. Steve Storch, Florence Rewinski, and KK Haspel will give lectures on . The lecture starts at 6:30 and doors open at 6. Admission is free, though donations will be accepted and will benefit restoration of The Grange.

4. at McGann-Mercy High School runs from 7-9 tonight. Drills under the lights will be held outside and inside, and players hoping to compete in college can hear a coach from SUNY/ Stony Brook speak on the recruiting process.

5The Live at the Indigo sessions continue tonight at Bistro 72, which hosted the jam sessions during Jazz on the Vine, will be playing tonight from 8-11.
