Pet of the Week: April, a Lab and Terrier Mix
April is a young girl, full of energy and love.
Walking into the kennel at Kent Animal Shelter, there is one dog visitors can't miss: April. She is usually jumping up and down trying to get not only the visitors' attention, but also their affection.
April arrived at Kent in April. She is now close to a year old, according to shelter volunteers. Although she will grow a little more, April currently weighs 33 pounds.
Kent staff describe April as confident, happy, outgoing, playful and smart. April is also described as high energy. She'll need to go to a home where her energy level can be met. If you need an exercise partner, if you have teens that have energy to burn, or if you just want a goofy, loving dog to joing your family, April is your girl.
