Ladies in red gathered together in Riverhead lately to make a long-term difference in fighting heart disease.
Over 250 women dressed in red gathered at the Hyatt Sea Star Ballroom at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center in Riverhead recently for the 10th Annual “Girls Night Out” Red Dress Dinner.
With an eye toward fundraising, the event garnered over $20,000 to benefit the American Heart Association.
"The mission of the American Heart Association is building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke," Nancy Kouris, founder of the event, said. "That is something worth coming together for."
