Brad Bender, the president of the Flanders, Riverside, Northampton Civic Association, hosted a fundraiser breakfast in his Northampton home on Saturday, attended by New York State Senate candidates and .
Both candidates spoke about their campaign platforms and what they would bring to the state Senate seat, if elected.
The fundraiser, held in his flowering rose garden, was held to support Brad Bender in his 2013 race for Southampton Town Board. Approximately 75 guests attended, including Fleming, Maertz and Southampton Town Justice Andrea Schiavoni, who spoke of her gratitude to continue serving the town.
"I also got to share my continued commitment to community, and am looking forward to 2013 and the opportunity to serve the people of Southampton," Bender said.
