Nearly 50 classic cars lined the downtown parking lot on the Peconic River as the Classic Car Cruise Night returned for the 2011 season. 

"We'll have even more next week," said Ray Pickersgill, the president of the Business Improvement District, which sponsors the weekly Thursday night event. 

Old Chevy's, "baby" Chevy's (and '87 Corvette), and classic cars from as far back as the 1940s lined the parking lot as locals and car aficionados took their turns checking the hoods.

The Classic Car Cruise Night will take place every Thursday during the summer season from 5 - 9.
