FEMA is set to grant $3.6 million to the Town of Riverhead to purchase and demolish homes ruined in the Horton Avenue flood last year.

The Town of Riverhead is getting ready to receive a $3.6 million grant from the federal government to put towards last year.

The affected residences would be demolished and turned into park land or open spaces, Supervisor Sean Walter said in a phone interview yesterday. What do you think about the plan?
