Question of the Day: How Do You Feel About DeVito's Resignation?

School Board member resigned on Tuesday night amid bond discussion.

Board of Education Member Angela DeVito resigned on Tuesday night amid a discussion about a capital improvements bond that the school board has been wrangling with.

Board members Greg Meyer, Tim Griffing, and Jeff Falisi all believe the $78 million proposal does not include enough indoor athletic facility upgrades. A weight room was the only new indoor athletic proposal given by architects BBS Architects.

In the middle of a discussion on athletic upgrades - which DeVito has expressed reservations toward - she unexpectedly tendered her resignation, effective June 30. The school board will appoint a replacement to fill her term, which expires next spring.
