Question of the Day: What Do You Think About the School Bond Proposals?

With a vote set for both propositions on Oct. 11, what do you think?

The Riverhead School Board voted Tuesday night to put a two-part bond proposal, which would authorize over $78 million to make repairs and improvements to district schools and nearly $7 million to construct a new gymnasium at Riverhead High School, up to public vote.

The vote will be held on Oct. 11 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Should the first half of the proposal pass, the second could also be authorized. But should the larger of the two bonds fail, the smaller bond to fix the gym cannot be approved.

Though there are still three months until the date of the vote, we want to know: what do you think of the proposals as they stand?
