Question of the Day: Will You Ride the 9:21 Westbound Train?

Westbound train transporting passengers into NYC before noon starts Monday.

“As far as the railroad is concerned, the world ends at Ronkonkoma,”, in the middle of February.

Monday morning marked the first 9:21 a.m. westbound train out of Riverhead train station, offering riders the opportunity to get themselves into New York City for a weekday day trip before noon.

While the train had been a "dead head" since it started arriving in town last fall - carrying no passengers on its way back to Ronkonkoma each morning - the addition of the line is one of many the Long Island Rail Road tacked on starting Monday.

So the question today is: will you use this line? Or would you prefer to drive up to another train station, or take the Hampton Jitney? Or drive yourself?
