Swan Shooter Sought, Suffolk SPCA Offers Reward

$1k reward offered for info on person(s) who shot an arrow through a swan in a Riverhead park.

The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting an arrow through a swan on Friday.

The swan was found near  and it is currently recovering at the  in Hampton Bays, according to a statement from the SPCA.

The arrow has been removed, but the swan is unable to walk and may have nerve damage, said Chief of the Suffolk SPCA Roy Gross.
