Weekend Guide: Christmas Comes to Riverhead

Here are some ways to spend the Christmas weekend around town.

1. The 's ends Friday. All proceeds from the gift sales go to benefit the museum educational initiatives and programming.

2. The will hold a this Christmas Eve starting at 11 a.m. Come to see the adoptable dogs and puppies and learn more about Last Chance Animal Rescue, who helped save the dogs.

3. Blackwell's Restaurant at the Great Rock Golf Club on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. Dinner will include dishes like Almond Crusted Flounder and Pancetta and Sausage Stuffed Loin of Pork. The dinner costs $34.95 per person plus tax and service charge, $20.05 per child ages 3-12 and free for those under 3 years-old. Reservations are required.

4. Both the and es will hold candlelight services on Christmas Eve. Living Water's service begins at 6 p.m., while North Shore starts their services at 8 p.m.
