Center for Creative Retirement-Today's Program

The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.

Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.

Monday November 4th is a CCR day for laughs.  At 10 a.m., we revisit the old 1950s TV show,  "Show of Shows," starring Sid Caesar and we see some of his later skits, as well.  The morning continues with scenes from hilarious and irreverant Friars Club roasts, until we break for lunch at 11:30.

Noon brings us a retrospective of the inimitiable Phyllis Diller with her irreverant side-splitting commentary on life as a wife and mother.  By 1 p.m., we should be feeling great.  After all, laughter is the best medicine!
