Center for Creative Retirement-Today's Program
The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.
Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.
We spend this morning, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on Irish history and culture. Hear a native of the "Old Sod" talk about how the Irish strived to secure the Free State. A change of pace at noon--enjoy one hour reminiscing about "the king of rock-and-roll," Elvis Presley. Learn about his life and hear his music.
