The North Fork Community Theatre (NFCT) will hold its Third Annual Building on TraditionGala at 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Vineyard Caterers. Proceeds from the event will support the group's effort to purchase the building that has housed the NFCT for 50 years. This year's gala will pay tribute to the past presidents of the North Fork Community Theatre for the leading role they have played in the theater's formation and continued success.. Its lease with Mattituck Presbyterian Church, which owns the building, ends in 2012, so the fundraising effort is entering the home stretch. More than $250,000 has been raised, but the help of the community is needed to reach the campaign goal of $750,000, which will cover the costs of the building and necessary renovations.The gala will include performances by NFCT members, a sit-down dinner, a chinese auction, raffles, plus DJ music and dancing.
