Bridgehampton:

  • Hampton Library "Help Grow Our Tree of Thanks" - Monday, November 18th through Sunday, November 24th at 2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton from 9:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. For all ages. We are thankful for the great patrons who visit the library every day. Come to the Children’s Room and help grow our Tree of Thanks. All week long we will be adding leaves to our tree. Upon these leaves we will be writing the things that we are thankful for. Take some time to think about all the things that make the season special.
  • South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) - For Children Ages 3-5.  Join Crystal and her story-time puppet, Lodo the River Otter, as they read Gobble Gobble by Cathryn Falwell to learn more about the bird that almost became our national symbol. After the story, we’ll go outside to look for signs of wild turkey in the field behind the museum, and then you’ll have an opportunity to create your own decorative turkey to take home. There is a $3 materials fee for this program. Limited enrollment, register now! Participants must call (631) 537-9735 for reservations and information about meeting places. Reservations are required for all events. There is no charge for SoFo members. Non-members are charged $7 per adult, $5 per child 3-12 years of age, 2 and under free. Fees include admission to the museum on the day of the program.

 

Westhampton:

  • Westhampton Library "Let's Talk Turkey" - Friday, November 22nd at 7 Library Avenue, Westhampton Beach @ 6:30 p.m. For families with children ages 3 to 7 Gobble, Gobble, GOBBLE! We cannot wait to share stories about our favorite holiday bird! This program is geared toward children ages 3 to 7 but all are welcome to attend.   • Westhampton Library "Thanksgiving Centerpiece" - Saturday, November 23rd at 7 Library Avenue, Westhampton Beach from 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. For families with children ages 4 and older.   • Hampton Bays Library - "The Velveteen Rabbit: How Toys Become Real"- Tuesday, December 3rd at 4:30 p.m. Located a 52 Ponquogue Avenue.  For children in grades K and up. Kick off the holiday season with a story about how toys become real.  Bring your own very special stuffed toy with you to share in the story of The Velveteen Rabbit.  Enjoy a candy cane or some gingerbread cookies while you listen to the story.  Bring in a new, unwrapped toy as well for our Toys For Tots donation box and participate in the spirit of giving.   • Hampton Bays Library - "Holiday Cookie Swap & A Charlie Brown Christmas"- Monday, December 9th at 4:00 p.m. Located 52 Ponquogue Avenue. For families. Bake up a big batch of your family’s favorite holiday treats and exchange baked goods together in our Children’s Room! Everyone leaves with a variety of goodies to stash away for holiday entertaining – and perhaps a new recipe or two.   Bring a few dozen of your favorite cookies (and extras for us to eat during the swap!) and leave with your tin filled with a sampling of each cookie batch presented.  We will provide egg nog and hot chocolate.  Enjoy some holiday cheer chatting with your friends and exchanging recipes while the kids watch A Charlie Brown Christmas.  To register call 727.6241.   • Hampton Bays Library - "All Aboard the Polar Express Story Hour" - Tuesday, December 10th at 4:30 p.m. Located at 52 Ponquogue Avenue. For children ages 3 and up. Join us for the story of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.  Come in your pajamas just like the kids in the book!  After the story we’ll enjoy some chocolate Hershey’s kisses and each child will leave with their very own silver bell.   • Parade of Lights and Christmas Tree Lighting - Saturday, November 30th at Agawam Park @ 4:45 p.m. Join us for the Decorated Fire Truck Parade at 4:45 p.m, followed by the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:15 p.m. in Agawam Park. Enjoy caroling by "VOSH" (Voices of Southampton High School), and soloist, Julie Van Nostrand. Then join us for the Holiday Reception immediately following the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Southampton Cultural Center's Levitas Center for the Arts, at 25 Pond Lane. Join us at the Cultural Center for good cheer, a visit with Santa, refreshments and musical entertainment by piano students and the Prelude Overture String Ensemble. Sponsored by the Village Christmas Committee.
  • It's a Wonderful Village Holiday Stroll - Saturday, December 7th at Southampton Chamber of Commerce on 76 Main Street from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.Come stroll the village all day long!   • Hampton Library - "Make Book Angel's For The Library's Book Tree - Friday, November 29th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on 2478 Main Street.  Each year the Hampton Library celebrates the season by giving back to the community with our Book Angel Tree. Each angel represents a book donation. Help us create the angels for our tree this year. Your angel will be hung on the tree and then be used to decorate a wrapped book to be given to a child in need. To register call 631.537.0015.

East Hampton:

  • Decorate a Gingerbread House - Saturday, December 14th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Guild Hall located 158 Main Street.  Participants will decorate Citarella’s pre-made Gingerbread Houses!
