Still Time to Make A Gingerbread House At Gingerbread University

There is still time to make a gingerbread house at the nearby Gingerbread University in Riverhead. 

Located on Sound Avenue, Gingerbread University is a shop filled with all things ginger and has lots for kids to see and do — in the two back rooms, children of all ages can use sticky icing to "glue" candy onto pre-baked houses, super-sized gingerbread men, gingerbread girls, and specialty shaped cookies with candy decorations.

To decorate, prices range from $11.95 to  $34.95 and include a gingerbread item, candy and icing to decorate.  Gingerbread kits for projects at home are also available and can be shipped or picked up. For more on pricing, click here. 

Gingerbread University is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday and Saturday evenings the shop is open later, depending on demand. While walk-ins are welcome it is recommended that reservations are made by calling 631-727-7309.
