Need Something to do this Weekend? How About Wine Tasting on the East End?

If you are anything like me and my husband we look outside on a beautiful weekend morning and wonder what we are going to spend our day doing. Our recommendation...why not take a ride out on the North Fork for some wine tasting?

If you have never experienced wine tasting on the North Fork then you are seriously missing out. There are countless beautiful wineries as you make your way out toward Orient Point. One of our favorite wineries to stop at is Lieb Family Cellars in Mattituck. They offer a wine and chocolate pairing which is as much fun as it is yummy. For around $18 per person you get a tray with five of their wines each paired with a different piece of gourmet chocolate. You will also receive instructions on how to pair your wine and chocolate together. They have a lovely outside picnic area from which to enjoy your tray. If you are not into chocolate you may also do just a wine tasting. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We have enjoyed this with our moms the past few Mother's Days  

If you head further east towards East Marion I recommend that you stop by The Hellenic Snack Bar and Restaurant. They have a wide assortment of authentic Greek dishes including grape leaves made on the premises (soooo good). I had their Hellenic Salad with Gyro meat and extra  tzatziki sauce which was excellent. Ben and I enjoyed the sunset as we ate outside on their patio. It is a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner.
