Happening This Week: Movie Screening, Lighting the Big Duck

Here are five things to do around Riverhead this week.

1. On Monday, the will , a movie about an Italian-American and a Mexican immigrant who form an unlikely friendship in Queens. Carmine Famiglietti, a producer, writer and actor in the film, will be there to answer questions. The free event begins at 6:30 p.m. 

2. This year's  Everything from hand-made ornaments, jewelry, ceramics and crafts and more will be on sale on Tuesdays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 12 to 4 p.m. until the market closes on Dec. 23.

3. On Wednesday, the Suffolk County Parks Department will for the holidays. The free event starts at 7 p.m. and is open to everyone.

4. Expert Marital Arts in Aquebogue will hold a on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. The event costs $10 for each child and $4 for each additional child; advanced registration is required.

5. McGann-Mercy High School students will , the classic 1938 play, starting on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8 apiece.
