The family of a 27-year-old Flanders mother who died in childbirth is desperately trying to raise enough money to send her body home to Mexico for burial.
Raquel Reyes-Marin died on April 7, 2012 while giving birth. She was born Dec. 19, 1984.
Collection boxes have been set up in businesses around Flanders and Southampton Town to help her family raise enough money to send Reyes-Marin’s body home to Mexico.
A religious service will be held on Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. at in Southampton.
Visitation was held Wednesday and Thursday at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton.
