Civility is not a universal trait, as much as we might like to think otherwise.

AND, Hal's got a point.

Really? A collection ? Nobody should die, but then nobody should be here in the first place.

what Hospital if any?
Boo April 16, 2012 at 05:30 PM
To Patch Editor: Did this woman have her baby in a hospital or did she give birth at home. It's very rare these days to hear about women dying in childbirth....
Lisa Finn (Editor) April 16, 2012 at 09:26 PM
Thank you all for your comments. Patch has confirmed that the baby was born in a hospital. Further details will be added as they become available.

I am appalled at the level of callousness that is displayed here. We are all God's children. May she rest in peace and those of you that cannot find something kind to say, should keep your comments to yourself. And The Patch should not allow those remarks to be publicly posted.
SHERYL KRUGER April 16, 2012 at 11:58 PM
Obviously people of that caliber will not refrain from making such distasteful comments. Therefore, I think The Patch should be set up some type of screening before comments go to posting.

Sheryl, Thank you for your comment. I have asked for civility here and hope our readers will respect this request.

my sister alost died after giving birth to her son. we had our babies 12 hours apart last december. i had just seen her and not 30 min later a ccu nurse came in telling me my sister was satting at 76 and crashing. she was placed on life support and her organs began to fail. her lungs collapsed. doctors had NO idea what was going on and it took a few days to get results back. she made it out okay and she was lucky. God heard our prayers and decided to send her back to us. She wasnt finished here on earth. the death of a mother in or shortly after childbirth is rare but it does happen. You never know when your loved one's time is up so cherish each day as if it was the last! My heart goes out to this family and may God be with them in their hour of need.

Hey E legal, if you have nothing better to say don't say it. Your comments are very distasteful.

No matter how much one might not like another's statement remember that we all have the right to comment as we see fit as long as profanity isn't included. Some speak more strongly than others and that is their individual right. We all enjoy FREEDOM OF SPEECH and should not be deleted because a comment offends someone. It is a fact of life and should be respected!

Wordtothewise, I understand we all enjoy FREEDOM OF SPEECH, but we have no right to use hazing tactics.
