Tea Time Cottage

Why Go? Featuring 27 different loose leaf teas on the menu, there's certainly something for everyone's tastes.

Must Do:
 If you love lavender, you'll also be a fan of Tea Time Cottage's handmade soaps. Pick up a few as gifts for friends or as a keepsake for yourself.

Insider Tip:
 The tea house heavily incorporates fragrant lavender into the shop, including as garnishes on most of dishes.

Wolffer Estate Winery

Why Go?
Lush vineyards meet rolling hills at the Wolffer Estate Winery. Grab friends and head to this destination for a fun getaway packed with lots of wine tasting and relaxation.

Must Do: 
Stop by the estate on a Friday to enjoy live music.

Insider Tip:
The last wine tasting of each day occurs an hour before the official closing time of the estate, so don't wait until last minute to stop by.

The Fine Print:
The vineyard is open year round, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go? Take a self-guided tour with your family to learn the ins and outs of harvesting, while feeding sheep and baby chicks at every stop along the way. 

Must Do:
 Top your trip off with a tasty meal at the farm café. Homegrown organic options like roasted sweet corn, organic hot dogs and freshly squeezed lemonade are available.

Insider Tip:
 If your family is interested in taking a hay ride, do so early in the day. Although the farm closes at 6 p.m., rides end at 5 p.m.

Fine Print:
 The farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free.


Bedell Cellars

Why Go?
A historic barn turned tasting room, Bedell Cellars features a stunning view of vineyards, barrel cellars and bottling rooms. A visit here is a romantic and relaxed day trip for couples. 

Insider Tip:
For groups of 10 or more, there is a $20 minimum per person. The price covers a Premium Flight tasting or by the glass or bottle in place of the tasting. Also, larger groups must make a reservation at least five days before their visit. 

Must Do:
Be sure to take notice of owner Michael Lynne's private art collection around the vineyard, featuring the work of several renowned artists. Also, take in the view by enjoying lunch on the winery's outdoor covered pavilion or lawn. 

The Fine Print:
The tasting room is open year round Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Premium Flight tasting option costs $20 and the Estate Flight tasting is $15, with both including five wines.
