What's the Nicest Thing Someone Did for You During the Storm?

If someone went out of their way for you before, after, or during the storm, tell us about them.

As Thanksgiving approaches, it's a good time to take notice of the kind things we do for one another. With Superstorm Sandy having just occurred a few weeks ago, we were thinking about all the ways that neighbors have been helping neighbors, both near and far.

In Aquebogue, teenager Nina Keller painstakingly tried to save her grandparents' love letters that were soaked when water poured into their basement during the storm. The letters were from a young Bob Keller, now 87, to his love, Gloria, now 85, when he was sent off to serve in the Air Force during World War II.

The act of kindness doesn't have to be as big as Keller's. Small acts go a long way too.
