Riverhead Town Police responded to an accident on Peconic Bay Boulevard in Aquebogue on Monday that sent one man to the hospital.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call was received about an accident that occurred at approximately 12:22 p.m. Monday on Peconic Bay Boulevard. The driver of a Go-Green Sanitation vehicle, Riverhead resident Larry Burch, was involved in a "vehicle versus bushes" accident; Burch drove into a tree and bushes, police said.
Police say Burch was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment; no charges were filed.
