Crimes and suspicious incidents reported to the between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2:
Grand Larceny
• In Riverside on Aug. 25, a woman told police that an unknown person entered the basement bedrooms at her home on Wildwood Trail and removed $2,600 in cash from several rooms. Police are investigating.
Burglary
• In Flanders Aug. 29, a man who lives on Maple Avenue told police that he found a male stranger standing in the hallway of his upstairs hallway brandishing a bread knife and demanding money. The victim said he fled through the back door to a neighbor’s house and called for help. An iPod valued at $300 was stolen.
• In Flanders on Sept. 1, a man who lives in an apartment on Port St. reported that an iPhone, gold jewelry and a shoebox containing personal documents were stolen from the residence. Police are investigating.
Petty Larceny
• In Flanders August 27, a man reported to police that someone went through his car which was parked in his driveway on Flanders Rd. and removed a wallet and $280 cash. There are no leads into the incident at this time.
