UPDATE: Car Slams Into Wading River CVS; Minor Injuries Reported

Police said the car drove through the front doors of the store.

Update: 11:31 p.m.: Riverhead Police have identified the driver of a car that crashed into a Wading River CVS Sunday night.

According to police, Ronald Kucinski, 78, was driving a 1997 Mercury that collided with the side of the building -- and continued through the front doors of the store.

Joan Kucinski, 74, Kucinski's wife, received minor injuries from debris resulting from the collision as she was about to exit CVS, police said.

Both the driver and his wife were transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center by members of the Wading River Fire Department for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

No charges were filed, according to authorities.

Original story: A driver crashed a car through the Wading River CVS, Riverhead police said Sunday night.

According to police, the accident, which occurred at approximately 6 p.m., involved a driver hitting the brick wall of the CVS building, located on Route 25A, just east of Wading River Road.

Police said it was not immediately clear how badly the driver was injured.
