Cops: Drive-By Shooter Targets Car Windows in South Jamesport
At least six residents had cars windows taken out by the shots, police said.
At least six South Jamesport residents had the windows of their cars shot out by a pellet gun Saturday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, the pellet gun damage took place Saturday night, with reports from six residents coming in Sunday morning from locations on Green Street and Second Street.
The investigation is ongoing, with no suspects apprehended yet, police said.
According to resident Angela DeVito, the incidents took place between 9 and 9:30 Saturday night.
Her home, DeVito said, was one of those affected by "this random, heartless action," she said.
All families affected made police reports, and police responded quickly and courteously, DeVito said.
