Cops: Flanders Man Charged With DWI

Police said the defendant was stopped for a traffic infraction and found to be intoxicated.

A Flanders man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Flanders early Sunday morning.

According to Southampton Town police, Byron Hernandez-Tocay, 28, of Flanders was arrested at about midnight on Sunday on Flanders Road at County Road 105.

Hernandez-Tocay was stopped for a traffic infraction and further investigation revealed he was intoxicated, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, processed at Southampton Town police headquarters, and held overnight for morning arraignment.
