Cops: Flanders Man Charged With Felony DWI

Suspect was allegedly observed failing to maintain his lane of traffic.

A Flanders man was charged with two felonies on Tuesday, including driving while intoxicated, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Gregorio Vasquez, 51, of Flanders, was arrested on Jan. 1 at approximately 3:40 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony.

Police said Vasquez was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a felony.

Vasquez was allegedly observed traveling on Priscilla Avenue in Flanders and failing to maintain his traffic lane, police said. After being stopped by police on Priscilla Avenue, police said during the investigation, it was determined that Vasquez was operating in an intoxicated condition.

Police said it was also found that Vasquez's license had been revoked for a prior conviction of a DWI charge.

Vasquez was transported to Southamptonย Town Police headquarters for processing and held for a morning arraignment. ย
