Cops: Flanders Man Cuffed For Driving Drunk
A Flanders man was found to be intoxicated after a traffic stop, cops said.
A Flanders man was charged with driving while intoxicated in East Quogue early Friday morning.
According to Southampton Town police, Gerson J. Ruiz, 21, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. after being stopped on Lewis Road for a traffic violation, police said.
Further investigation revealed that Ruiz was intoxicated, police said. He was arrested at the scene and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.
He was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing, and held for morning arraignment.
