Cops: Man Robs Jamesport Liquor Store, Charged With DWI

Police said suspect fled the scene.

An Aquebogue man that police said robbed a liquor store and fled the scene was arrested and also charged with driving while intoxicated.

Riverhead Police said they investigated a burglary that occurred at 12:05 a.m. on Friday night at the North Fork Liquor Store, located on Main Road in Jamesport, after responding to an alarm at the location.

Upon arrival, police said it was discovered that an unknown person had broken into the front window of the store and allegedly removed several bottles of liquor.

Police said the suspect, Bradford T. Reeve of Aquebogue, fled the scene and was later arrested and charged with burglary of the North Fork Liquor Store, driving while intoxicated, and two counts of possession of stolen property.

The defendant was processed and held for arraignment at Riverhead Justice Court.
