Cops: Parolee Gives Fake Name to Cops

Also, a man pulled over for reportedly having his windows tinted too much was charged with DWI.

Arrests in the Flanders/Riverside area reported by Southampton Town police:

• A Riverhead man was arrested on Aug. 16 and charged with criminal impersonation in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.

According to police, the 29-year-old man was recognized by an officer as having an active parole warrant and arrest warrant, and after telling police he had no ID on him, gave an officer the name of a man who also had a warrant out on him. He was arrested and taken to headquarters to confirm his identity.

• Thomas Hays, 42, of Scottsdale Ariz., was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of aggravated DWI on Aug. 16. According to police, Hays was pulled over around 12:50 a.m. for having windows that were illegally tinted. Police said that after pulling him over on Flanders Road, he was unsteady on his feet, failed sobriety tests, and blew 0.18 on a pre-screen breath test, leading to an aggravated DWI charge.
