Earlier Sunday, police asked for the public's help to locate Thompson, after a Calverton woman was allegedly stabbed by her boyfriend at Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead, and then forced to drive him to another spot before she was able to escape Saturday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, a call came in at 8:15 p.m. about an injured woman, 23, on Midway Drive in Riverhead.
Police said the woman had been involved in a "domestic dispute" with her boyfriend, 24, of Calverton; he allegedly stabbed her multiple times, then forced her to drive him to Midway Drive, where she was able to escape the car and get help at a nearby home.
